Founder Story
She started teaching Malay at 18. 12 years later.
Ainur began teaching Malay to IGCSE students when she was just 18 years old. What started as a passion quickly became a calling. Over the next 12 years, she taught more than 500 students — from a 5-year-old in London learning her heritage language, to a Tan Sri brushing up on conversational Malay. She built Munshi Institute to reach more people, find more Munshi who share her standards, and give everyone who wants to speak Malay a proper path to get there.

Do I need to know any Malay before joining?
No. We’ll place you at the right level and build from practical conversations, not assumptions.
Are classes online or in person?
Classes are live online, so students can join from Malaysia, the UK, Australia, the Middle East, and beyond.
Do you teach formal or conversational Malay?
Both, but we start with useful spoken Malay so you gain confidence quickly and understand when formality matters.
Can adults and children learn with Munshi?
Yes. We run different learning paths for children, heritage learners, returning Malaysians, and foreigners living in Malaysia.
